Autism Health Summit 2025

Inside the Autism Health Summit: Hope, Healing, and the Power of Informed Advocacy

By Informed Policy Advocates

April 11-13, 2025, San Diego was host to a powerful gathering of parents, professionals, and advocates determined to change the future of autism care. The Autism Health Summit (AHS)—a parent-driven, two-day conference hosted by Autism Health, Inc.—delivered more than just education; it delivered hope.

Held in the heart of Southern California, the summit brought together families, medical experts, and pioneers in alternative and integrative medicine. The sessions were rich with insights on biomedical treatments, nutrition, detoxification, and other holistic strategies aimed at addressing the underlying conditions associated with autism and other neurological disorders.

And it was even better than last year.

Healing Through Knowledge—and Community

Attendees heard from top-tier experts including Dr. Brian Hooker, Dr. Sabine Hazan, Dr. Peter McCullough, Robert Scott Bell, Dr. Dayan Goodenowe, Dawnmarie Gaivin, and many more. These voices brought science, compassion, and credibility to topics that often get sidelined in traditional conversations around autism. Discussions ranged from the impact of gut health and inflammation to immune function and environmental stressors.

One of the most impactful moments of the event came during the closing session, when Tracy and Steve Slepcevic, founders of Autism Health, Inc., publicly acknowledged not just the speakers and volunteers—but also brought Informed Policy Advocates (IPA) on stage. It was a meaningful reminder that the work happening in research and healing must also be matched with the work happening in legislation and policy.

We were deeply honored to stand on that stage, as Tracy had us share with the crowd what IPA is doing in Sacramento—defending medical freedom, protecting parental rights, and ensuring families are not left behind by policy decisions made without their voice.

Why This Matters

The Autism Health Summit isn’t just a conference—it’s a movement. It empowers parents who are seeking real answers in a world where cookie-cutter approaches too often fail. Parents who’ve been told there’s nothing more they can do are discovering that there are options—safe, evidence-informed, and often transformative.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Autism Health, Inc. is on the front lines, providing resources, connections, and education through events, workshops, and community engagement. Their work aligns with IPA’s mission to bring clarity, accountability, and freedom back into healthcare policy.

Because when parents are empowered with options, they can make the best decisions for their children—and when they unite around common values, change becomes inevitable.

From the Capitol to the Community

At Informed Policy Advocates, we don’t just believe in change—we fight for it. Our team works tirelessly in the halls of the California State Capitol, pushing back against overreach and fighting for legislation that respects bodily autonomy and honors the role of parents in medical decision-making.

Our mission is driven by what we heard over and over again at AHS:
The stories. The struggles. The strength.

Every parent we met reminded us why we do this work. Their courage to ask hard questions, try new approaches, and share their journey with others is what fuels this movement.

A Call to Action

The summit wrapped up with a joyful cocktail hour—a chance for parents, practitioners, and advocates to connect, celebrate, and continue building a network of hope. But the message was clear: the real work continues long after the last session ends.

So let’s keep showing up.
Let’s keep listening.
Let’s keep asking questions—and demanding answers.

Because when parents are informed,
Policy changes.
And lives do too.
